π Hey!
Justin is a multi-disciplinary content creator with two decades of experience in brand strategy, visual storytelling, and social media.
His obsession with music branding started in the margins of school notebooks, charting the geometry of his favorite band logos, and transforming his first drum kit into a music-sticker-clad shrine to the rock, hip-hop, and jazz artists he worshipped.
Those same creative instincts propelled him into the world of video production, cutting his teeth as a videographer for legendary actor Paul Newmanβs Hole in the Wall Gang Camp β a free-of-charge haven for kids facing serious medical conditions such as cancer and genetic blood disorders.
In 2025, his own sudden diagnosis of widespread papillary thyroid cancer led to two major surgeries and an intensive, ongoing medical recovery journey. Seeking a therapeutic creative outlet that combined his passions for music and design, Justin founded BandBrandz β a social media channel dedicated to the hidden history, accidental origins, and unconventional design principles behind music's most legendary logos.
Delivering a premium execution of cultural nostalgia, BandBrandz blends fast-paced music trivia with authoritative design breakdowns β shining a definitive light on the visual artists who helped craft the branding behind the musical artists. Within its first month, the channel reached 1M viewers and drew praise from founding members of the Beastie Boys and Wu-Tang Clan.
Justin holds a BA in Communications and Film Studies from University of Massachusetts Amherst, and currently works as a senior creative at a Seattle-based branding agency.
